Charm School is the baby sister to the Buck or Die National Majorette competition. Our National Majorette competition hosts some of the largest and most exciting dance teams from all over the United States. Charm School was created as some of these dance teams that come to compete often are not prepared for the rigorous performances and the pressure that comes along with competing on a national level. Also, newer teams who are just in the development phase compete against dance teams at the national competition level who have been around over three years in the game who are considered veterans and have a level of status and compete on a higher level that is sometimes not fair to our younger dancers as competing against veteran dancers can sometimes leave a sense of inadequacy.

Creating Charm School gives teams that are 0-3 years old the opportunity to compete amongst their peers in the same categories that are A part of our normal national competition circuit. Competing within Charm School gives teams the chance to be judged by the same quality and caliber of judges. However, these judges have the knowledge that these teams are younger and newer to our competition circuit as well as new in the majorette community. It's as if we have now categorized our national competition circuit by the age level of the formation of the organization and not by the age level of the dancers that are actually on the teams.

Oftentimes, teams will franchise and branch off to other states. However, it is the formation of the name of the organization that categorizes the date and years of existence versus the formation of a new franchise. For example, the Dancing Dolls exist in Jackson, Birmingham, Atlanta, as well as Memphis. However, the other branches of our organization were created in later dates because our team began in 2001, this would be considered the start date of the actual organization that would be utilized for our team name. Although our Memphis branch is less than six months old and would technically qualify as a Charm School team, the dance name of the organization and the foundation of the original branch is over 20 years old, so the newer branch would not qualify. Being that new teams pop up all over the place, regardless of the new branches of the team, you are still underneath the same structured guidelines whereas a new team that is created may not know nor understand how a team is supposed to run. So even with the new franchise, your new branch has more of an advantage and a team that is just beginning.

Charm School is the hottest new competition circuit on the market and our.Creation of this amazing.event circuit is going to change the game for new teams that are entering the majorette community circuit. So many new teams come into the circuit and are unfamiliar with the way competitions are held in how to compete on a national level and Charm School gives them a ground level look as to what to expect and helps them facilitate and navigate through the higher level competitions.
